This authentic Carcharodontosaurus saharicus tooth originates from the Cenomanian stage of the Late Cretaceous, approximately 93 million years ago. Discovered in the Kem Kem Beds near Taouz, Morocco, it comes from one of the largest predatory dinosaurs to ever inhabit North Africa.
Often referred to as the “African T. rex,” Carcharodontosaurus was a powerful theropod known for its massive jaws and serrated teeth designed for slicing through prey. This specimen displays the characteristic blade-like shape and natural enamel texture typical of the species, with clear evidence of its predatory function.
Measuring 7.5 × 3.4 cm, the tooth is well preserved and retains strong visual presence, shaped by millions of years of fossilization.
